Scripture Reading
“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” (Proverbs 11:3, NIV)
The Call to Integrity
Integrity means being whole—having our inner beliefs and outward actions align. The Bible commends uprightness and warns against duplicity, hypocrisy, and double-minded living. A person of integrity does not compartmentalize their faith; their walk with God flows into every area of life.
Living with integrity is especially significant in a world where people often behave one way in public and another in private. The Christian calling is to consistency, to live transparently under God’s scrutiny, not merely for appearances before people.
Integrity Shaped by God’s Character
Integrity is rooted in God’s character. Because He is true and faithful, He calls us to reflect those same qualities. Jesus said in Matthew 5:37, “Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No’”. Our word should be trustworthy, and our lives reliable. Walking in integrity is a witness to God’s transforming power.
Practical Integrity in Faith
Integrity shows in how we handle relationships, work, finances, and moral choices. It means resisting shortcuts, refusing deceit, admitting mistakes, and being consistent—even when no one is watching. When integrity is tested under pressure, it proves genuine faith.
Integrity That Honors God
Christian integrity is not merely personal virtue; it is worship. Our consistent faithfulness honors God and draws others to Him. When people see our reliability, honesty, and integrity, they see Christ lived out. May we, by God’s grace, walk in integrity all our days.
