Scripture Reading
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1, NIV)
Prayer Devotional
Life often brings moments when the weight of our burdens feels too heavy to carry. In those times, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless. Yet God reminds us that we do not have to walk through trials in our own strength. He is our refuge—our safe place in times of need—and the source of strength we can always depend on.
When we turn to Him in prayer, He renews our hearts and gives us the courage to keep moving forward. His presence assures us that we are never alone, no matter how dark the storm may seem. Just as the psalmist declared, God is ever-present and always ready to help.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I come before You today, feeling the weight of my struggles and weaknesses. I confess that on my own, I cannot bear the challenges I face, but I thank You that I am not alone. You are my refuge, my strong tower, and my source of hope. When life overwhelms me, help me to rest in Your strength and not in my own.
Lord, lift my spirit when I feel weary. Renew my mind with Your truth and remind me of Your promises. Teach me to lean on You instead of my own understanding, and to walk by faith even when the path ahead feels uncertain. Fill me with courage to face each day with confidence in Your unfailing love.
Father, surround me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard my heart from fear, and let my life reflect Your power at work within me. Help me to encourage others with the same comfort and strength You so graciously give. I place my trust in You completely, and I declare that my hope is in You alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
