Scripture Reading
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14, NIV)
Prayer Devotional
Waiting can be one of the hardest parts of the Christian walk. Whether it’s waiting for answered prayer, breakthrough, or guidance, we often struggle with the tension of trust and timing. Yet, Scripture reminds us that those who wait on the Lord will not be put to shame. Waiting is not wasted time—it is an opportunity to grow in faith, deepen trust, and allow God to prepare our hearts for what He has planned.
Patience in waiting seasons doesn’t come naturally; it’s cultivated through reliance on the Holy Spirit. As we lean on God’s promises, we find strength to endure delays without giving in to despair. The waiting period becomes a time of refining, reminding us that God’s timing is always perfect, and His plans far exceed our own.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a heart that longs for patience in this season of waiting. I confess that I often grow weary, anxious, or restless when answers don’t come as quickly as I hope. Forgive me for the times I have doubted Your timing or tried to rush ahead of Your will.
Lord, teach me to wait with faith and trust. Remind me that Your delays are not denials but part of a greater plan I cannot always see. Strengthen my heart to rest in Your promises and to find peace in the knowledge that You are working all things together for my good.
Father, as I wait, draw me closer to You. Help me use this time to grow in prayer, in faith, and in obedience. Fill me with hope, so that when the day of fulfillment comes, I may glorify You all the more for Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
