“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3, NIV)
Prayer Devotional
Often the deepest wounds are invisible—the hurts that linger in our hearts. Past shame, rejection, loss, or mistakes can leave emotional scars that shape how we relate to God and others. But the Lord is described as the restorer of broken hearts. His Word reminds us that He binds up our wounds, placing His love and power into even our most fragile places.
To pray for healing of the heart is to invite God into the quiet, painful places and let Him bring wholeness over time. It means choosing to trust Him even when restoration seems slow. It’s a process—but one God promises to walk through with us, bringing peace, strength, and new life.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart that’s weary, wounded, and in need of Your touch. You alone know every hurt, every memory that stings, every fear that lingers. I ask You: heal me, Lord. Bind up my broken places and restore what sin and life have damaged.
Lord, replace my shame with Your grace, my bitterness with forgiveness, my fear with faith. Let Your loving presence bring rest to my soul. Teach me to trust You in the healing process, even when I don’t see change immediately.
Father, let my life be a testimony of Your restorative power. Use my healing to comfort others who suffer. Let my heart overflow with gratitude and new strength, shining Your light from the inside out. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
