Scripture Reading
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV)
Prayer Devotional
We face choices every day—big and small. What job to accept, who to trust, which direction to go. These decisions carry weight, and when the path isn’t clear, we can feel anxious or stuck. God promises that when we trust Him with our heart, surrender our plans, and acknowledge Him, He will direct our paths. That promise invites us into dependence, not independence.
Seeking divine guidance isn’t a one-off prayer but a posture of the heart: open, humble, and attentive. It involves listening for God’s voice through His Word, waiting in prayer, and being willing to step when He leads—even if we don’t see the whole path. In those moments, faith anchors us to His promises and character—not our circumstances or feelings.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I come before You today with decisions weighing on my heart. I confess that I often rely on my own understanding and rush ahead. Forgive me for doubting Your wisdom and timing. Help me to trust You fully in every choice before me.
Lord, illuminate my mind and guide my steps. Give me clarity where things feel confusing. Help me to discern Your will above all other voices—Your voice, Your Word, and Your Spirit’s leading. Grant me courage to follow where You point, even if the path is unfamiliar or challenging.
Father, I place these decisions into Your hands. Teach me to wait patiently when You ask, and act boldly when You call. May every step I take bring glory to You and align with Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
