A Prayer for Courage in Witnessing

Sharing our faith can feel daunting in a world that often misunderstands or resists it. Yet, the same Spirit that filled the early church with boldness still empowers us today. Courage in witnessing isn’t about having perfect words — it’s about having a willing heart and trusting God to speak through us.

When we step out in faith, the Holy Spirit provides both confidence and compassion. Our role is not to convince but to love — to plant seeds of truth and let God bring the growth. Every testimony, no matter how small, shines His light into the darkness and draws others to His grace.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the gift of salvation and the privilege of sharing Your truth with others. I confess that sometimes I shrink back in fear or hesitation. Strengthen my heart with Your courage and fill me with the boldness that comes from the Holy Spirit.

Lord, help me to see people as You see them — not as projects, but as precious souls You deeply love. Give me words seasoned with grace and wisdom to speak truth gently and clearly. Let my life reflect Your goodness even before my words are spoken.

Empower me to be a witness in both action and attitude. Wherever I go, let Your love be evident in me. May every conversation be an opportunity for Your light to shine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
