Scripture Reading
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9, NIV)
Prayer Devotional
Fear is something we all face. It can creep in quietly or strike suddenly, leaving us anxious and uncertain. But God calls us to stand firm and take courage—not because of our own strength, but because of His presence with us. In Joshua 1:9, God reminded His servant that true courage flows from knowing the Lord is always by our side.
When fear tries to overwhelm us, prayer becomes our weapon. It allows us to shift our focus from the problem to the One who holds the solution. With God’s Spirit in us, we can walk in boldness, trusting that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are always with me, even in moments when fear tries to grip my heart. You are my protector and my strength. Forgive me for the times I have allowed fear to overshadow my faith. Today, I choose to put my trust fully in You.
Lord, fill me with courage that comes from knowing Your promises are true. Remind me that no matter how big the challenge before me, You are greater still. Replace my fear with peace, my doubt with faith, and my weakness with Your strength. Let Your Word be the anchor that steadies me in every storm.
Father, may my life be a testimony of courage rooted in You. Help me to encourage others who are afraid, pointing them to the hope and assurance that can only be found in Christ. I walk forward today in boldness, knowing You go before me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
